Manager HSEE - Sustainability Own Operations (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions of all the properties, all design, construction and operations for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas.

 

This is a position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented person who understands how to organize and manage cross-functional projects. The purpose of this role is to manage high calibre projects feeding in the strategy execution of the sustainability strategic business plan with a focus on sustainability process integration within ESG Legislation for Corporate Real Estate and as well providing support in the own retail business of adidas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive projects across functions between global and market functions
  • Leads the workstream for the implementation of relevant ESG standards, including the development and governance of the annual reporting procedures and the creation of the reporting framework for own operations
  • Manage stakeholder’s relationship and secure buy-ins to project deliverables
  • Support enhancement activities on project management capabilities and knowledge management of the team
  • Uphold and enhance the Sustainability Own Operations relevance and visibility within own network
  • Drive agendas on topics such as corporate footprint management- decarb follow up projects and ESG Legislation
  • Senior stakeholder management, driving decision making effectively up to VP level
  • Manage projects, project activities and manage effective and timely communication on project progress and results to (senior) management
  • Execute overall project management and work stream deliverables (e.g. project planning, milestones execution and monitoring)
  • Evaluate project results along defined KPIs and translate into insights and recommendations for strategic direction
  • Provide guidance and manage activities of assistant project managers and business analysts

  • Self-motivated and high level of influence skills, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Staying calm under pressure/ being able to work on tight deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong Excel analytics skills, knowledge of smartsheet a plus
  • Extensive PowerPoint knowledge and skills
  • Project management experience (e.g. project planning and process mapping)
  • Experience in Own Retail business (ideally real estate, construction and/or facility management)


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree required, ideally related to Sustainability
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience in a multinational business, ideally sporting goods industry with exposure to Sustainability topics
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience for strategic projects within international environment
  • Degree or training in Sustainability focused on environmental and energy relevant standards for buildings preferred
